review 1: I enjoyed the stories by authors I already liked, but was not impressed with the majority of this collection. Still, nice to run across a Dresden I've never read, liked another peek into Kate Daniels' world, and enjoyed the heck out of reading Odysseus' adventures sans Kitty. As with most paranormal anthologies, I'd say read what you know and love & skip the rest. Of course, I make myself read them all hoping to find a new author/series to follow...
review 2: I liked all of these stories. Apart from Lori Handelands one I had read at least one of the books in the series each story belonged to, so that probably helped, and although I am not caught up in most of them that didnt seem to make that much difference. Will probably pick up something of Handelands too... more, and will definitely be reading more in each of the other series. Too hard to pick a favourite, they all had something going for them. less
