Usually, I love rainy days. Today, however, I didn’t feel like being cooped up in the house. So, since I spent the night with my Allie-Oop last night, I took my other favorite girl out for a little impromptu shopping trip.
We dined at the fabulous Olive Garden (Abby’s choice) for some lasagne and Cokes. We shared interesting dinner conversation and just plain enjoyed some downtime. The wait staff was awesome and I think I’m fully updated on my girl’s social life.
She’s just plain glowing lately. I guess I have to accept the fact that she is almost all grown up.
After filling up on Italian, we headed on over to Barnes and Nobles to browse through some books and grab a giant cookie from the cafe. We each picked out a book and Abby’s already started reading hers. Me? I’m fixing to delve into a most “awesome” book myself. The kind of awesome that only Neil Pasricha can create.
Tonight my nose isn’t running anywhere except to the inside of this book. G’night all.
