Eye into the Galaxy

Sunday 7:02 a.m.

The cellphone rings and breaks the silence of my 2 hour long sleep. My friend Joshua on the other end just says “I’m starting in a few minutes, meet you there.”

I was perplexed and remarked “What? Oh yeah! I’ll be there”.

Saturday night’s vodka shots took a heavy toll on me. Honestly, I had started to experience the hangover 5 shots into the drinking game. Left early from my friend’s party and ALMOST….Well almost got mugged by the cab driver (who thought I was way more wasted than how I actually seemed to be). But, I wouldn’t miss meeting the ‘Lady’ for anything in the world.

Joshua takes Xandra to the Dog Park in Necklace Road, every alternate weekends.

She’s his prized possession as he had planned for a very long time to adopt a Husky. Josh saved whatever he could and Xandra fulfilled all of his wishes.

I never found a dog so majestic and exotic in my life.

At the park, there was a huge Great Dane (which seemed like a horse to me), a huge St. Bernard and a huge Pitbull but Xandra was perhaps the only damsel that won their hearts; of course their owners’ too.

What captivated me were her eyes and before getting Xandra I always suggested Joshua to adopt a Husky with blue eyes because I thought that would look exotic but she proved me wrong and broke the stereotype I was living under (Cuz of the huskies in Instagram, don’t blame me.)
