Verse Of The Day: For the LORD saw the affliction of Israel, that it was very bitter: for there was not any shut up, nor any left, nor any helper for Israel. And the LORD said not that he would blot out the name of Israel from under heaven: but he saved them by the hand of Jeroboam the son of Joash. 2 Kings 14 : 26 , 27

LISTEN: God is not blind that He cannot see the affliction of the afflicted. He is not deaf either not to hear their groaning. Certainly, for the sake of His name He will reply the oppressors and set their captives free. God is a present help in times of trouble.(Psalms 46 : 1). When your heart is broken and no one seems to care or understand, there is a God in heaven who both cares and understands your predicament. When your whole world comes crashing down around you, and you do not know what else to do, remember that there is a God in heaven who understands what you are going through. His silence in your situation does not mean you have been abandoned. He is certainly working out something for you behind the scenes. God chooses when and how to respond to what men do. He is not moved by complaint, rather He is moved by faith. Where faith is present, results are imminent. No power can keep a person of faith down, because faith in God is the key with which we can unlock the doors that are locked against us.

The children of Israel were in bondage for several years in the land of Egypt. To them, that was the end of the road. They saw themselves as people who will end in Egypt in misery. But was that the plans of God for Israel? Of course not! God’s covenant with Abraham was to make out of him a great nation. What the Israelites went through in Egypt had already been predicted when God made His covenant with their father Abraham. The Bible says, “Then the LORD said to Abram, “Know for certain that your descendants will be strangers in a foreign country. They will be enslaved and oppressed for four hundred years. But I will execute judgment on the nation that they will serve. Afterward they will come out with many possessions.” (Genesis 15 : 13 , 14).

Beloved, God cannot abandon His chosen ones no matter what. He saw the bitter experiences of the Israelites in Egypt because there was no helper for them. However, He raise Moses who delivered them from their years of affliction. Several years later when the children of Israel entered the promised land, they disobeyed God and did evil in different occasions and were punished. But out of mercy He remembered His covenant with Abraham. (2 Kings 14 : 26 , 27). Beloved, no matter what you are going through, do not give up. God is in control. He will certainly hear your cry.
