Empathy is the language of Lovers, the Affirmation of the Fearless, the Willingness of the Faithful, and the home of Compassionate, Freedom Lovers everywhere. Empathy is outbound and frees those who know Love to share it. “Accept the love”; be willing to share it; to “Accept the Love and pass it on”.
THE BACK-SCRATCHER’S MANTRA
Sympathy on the other hand is the language of the aloof. “Been there – done that (I’ll never go there again.)”, “I know whatcha mean”, “Yup, I can identify with that; why I remember…”. Theirs is the voice of Approval, at best; a bargaining chip; “I’ll make your world safer but you’ll owe me; know what I mean, know what I mean, huh, huh, do ya huh?”
