Judging A Book By Its Cover: Ramayana

This is my weekly post where I highlight and appreciate cover designs and the general physical appearance of books. We all judge book covers to some extent. I can’t say that I’ve ever decided against a book with terrible cover art if I liked the sound of the plot, but I do purchase special editions of books and multiple editions of books based on their cover art. If book covers didn’t matter, publishers wouldn’t put out so many beautiful editions!

I think no one will be surprised to see that I’m featuring another beautiful book that Zezee from Zezee With Books has photographed for me. Basically, she’s just feeding my never ending Amazon wish list and I friggen love it. This fabulous book is called Ramayana: Divine Loophole and it’s written and by Sanjay Patel. Published by Chronicle Books in 2010, ISBN: 9780811871075.

Zezee says: It’s an illustrated children’s book about one of the “most enduring” stories in Hindu mythology. It’s about the god Rama’s quest to rescue his wife, Sita, from a demon king. Sanjay Patel is a Pixar animator.
