“I know you aren’t perfect. But it’s a person’s imperfections that make them perfect for someone else.”
“So do you believe in second chances?” I bite my lip.
“Second, third, fourth. Whatever it takes. However long it takes. If the person is right,” he adds.
“If the person is… Lola?”
This time, he holds my gaze. “Only if the other person is Cricket.”
Lola Nolan is a budding costume designer, and for her, the more outrageous, sparkly, and fun the outfit, the better. And everything is pretty perfect in her life (right down to her hot rocker boyfriend) until the Bell twins, Calliope and Cricket, return to the neighborhood. When Cricket, a gifted inventor, steps out from his twin sister’s shadow and back into Lola’s life, she must finally reconcile a lifetime of feelings for the boy next door.
This is the next book that I would highly recommend for teenagers out there who’s highly interested in any rom-com!! Another extraordinary work from one of my fav authors, Stephanie Perkins! I’ve read Anna and the French Kiss and it’s nice to know how they’re getting along so well in this book.
Needless to say, I am a hopeless romantic, alright. Hence explains most part of the reason why I really adore this book! Cricket and Lola’s relationship is so adorable, it almost makes me not want their stories to end! As expected, just like her previous impressive books, Stephanie has once again done a remarkably good job in writing this one out! Another page turner for me, indeed.
