Lush Santa Baby Lip Scrub

Winter has finally arrived, and with it came dry, cracked, painful lips. No worse feeling then lips that seem to be ripped open when you talk. Keeping your lips hydrated is key, a good lip balm will help you a long way, but if you want to use your lip balm to its full potential you’ll need to scrub your lips as well.

Lush brings out a limited-edition lip scrub for Christmas every year, so this year I figured I’d give it a try. The lip scrub is called Santa Baby, and although it’s a limited edition the packaging looks just like the other scrubs, with black and white.
The scrub itself is a dark pink and it has some decorative red hearts in it. The hearts won’t scrub, but it does give a little extra to the product.
My first impression was that is has an overly fruity scent, it’s just a bit too much for me and I wasn’t overly-excited to put it on my lips.

I started by putting on a small amount of the product on my lips, it felt quite soft, but effective. I did put some more on just to have a good scrub. According to the label, you can eat this product, but I don’t like the taste of it, it tastes chemical, so I decided to just wash it off with some warm water. And the result was exactly as promised, my lips were Christmas-Kiss-Ready. Almost all the dead skin was gone, and my lips felt soft and revived. I finished it off with a lip balm before putting on my lipstick, and I was ready to go.

Although I don’t like the taste or the smell of the Santa Baby lip scrub, it is a good product and worth the money. (€8,95/20g)

What is your favourite lip scrub?
