This week, I’m really proud of myself because I managed to finish a lot of books despite school starting.

I managed to finish 4 books this week! The first being:

Wow. This book was amazing. It blew me away. Renee’s has improved so much and I am so proud of her. Mulan is my favorite Disney princess and this book gave her character so much justice.
Ever since I’ve finished The Wrath and the Dawn series by Renee Ahdieh, I have been so excited to read this. And after getting my hands on this book, I devoured it. I loved loved loved this book! Renee’s writing had evolved and developed tremendously since The Rose and the Dagger. She has formed her own unique style that makes her books such a joy to read. The way this story was told felt so whimsical. It made it so hard to put this book down once I picked it up.

I’m going to be honest. This book wasn’t the best. Some plot points were very cliché, the writing was okay, there were a lot of book tropes present, and there were a problematic scenes in this story but despite all its flaws, I really did enjoy this book.

This is my first time reading a Haruki Murakami book. The library indeed was full of weird and strange things. It was a fun and whimsical read. I’m looking forward to read more books of his in the future.

This is my introduction to Haruki’s writing and if I’m being completely honest, I thought it was weirdly captivating. I’m looking forward to read his other books.

I loved Strands of Bronze and Gold. I read that book in a day. I even remember not studying in order to finish it but this book fell flat for me. It had good aspects to it but the bad still outweighs the good.
