Senior Stroke Research Practitioner at South Petherton Community Hospital, Sarah Dunne, won the best research poster award at the Research Network Forum!
The League of Friends funds the hospital’s participation in nationwide research projects, and we are absolutely delighted that this work is being recognised as being innovative and enhancing research within Somerset Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.
The research projects include:
- PLORAS: Predicting Language Outcome and Recovery After Stroke
- DNA Lacunar 2 – investigating the main cause of vascular cognition impairment and dementia
- EXTRAS: A trial to evaluate an extended rehabilitation service for stroke patients
Andy Harewood, Head of Research & Clinical Effectiveness at the Trust, shared the great news in the Somerset Partnership’s newsletter and congratulated Sarah on her award.
