Review: The Kiss of Deception by Mary E. Pearson

I really like this book it’s about a princess named Lia, first daughter of the House Morrighan, she is suppose to have a gift which makes her special. She flees on her wedding day and goes to a small town but by fleeing she has created many enemies for herself, who are trying to hunt her down.

In this new town, she starts a new life, a life she can live the way she wants to. Two young man are following her, one is an assassin and the other one is a prince to whom she left at the altar. Throughout the story we don’t know who is the assassin and who is the prince, which creates a lot of suspense because whoever the assassin is, he is trying to kill her. Will he be able to kill her? That’s not all, Lia stole something before she left her kingdom because of which someone wants her dead. Throughout the book we see a lot of deception, so watch out. I don’t want to give too much away so if you want to know what really happened, pick up the book and read it!

**Spoilers**

By the way, I did guess it right about who the prince is and who the assassin is, I did notice that the author tried to make sure that we get confused at times about who is who. So, whenever one of the guys came near Lia, I was like please don’t kill her just in case if you are the assassin. I liked the suspense a lot, it was a good touch to the book.

Anyway, was it only me or did it happen to someone else too that when some people really close to Lia died, my heart broke for her and I wanted to cry.  Yes, I cry a lot especially when someone I like dies in the book.
