Some wood has character just beneath the surface, character that you have to look for, where planing off layers reveals amazing age and beauty. Some has character ON the surface and all you need to do is pair it with contrast to set it apart. We found this stunning rich toned piece of wood, in a batch from a barn in Redding, California. As soon as we pulled it from the pile, we knew it would look amazing with some lighter blue tones. It has cross saw marks which are indicative of the time period of the barn from which we pulled it. Believe it or not, this whole piece was constructed using one amazing board, so there is character through and through. This piece is approximately 24″ x 24″ and is sure to stand apart from the crowd.
