Dear Unforgivingly Cold Weather,
Thank you for making it pretty much unthinkable to go outside. I’ve been longing for a quiet day trapped indoors, and this pretty much did the trick. Thanks to you, I got to lounge in my pajamas all day (newly arriving guests be damned!), eat delicious food foraged from my fridge, watch too much Netflix, snuggle with my honey and my cats, and admire the art you keep painting on my windows. It’s really, really lovely art this year – I can’t remember any better.
Tomorrow, I hear, you will be at your worst, and then you will retreat back up north where you belong and allow us to return to the more humane near-freezing temperatures. Thanks for that, too. This little snot-freezing spell has been kind of fun for me, since I don’t really have to go outside very often, but I realize the rest of the world isn’t quite so enchanted.
Thanks again, and see you next year!
❤ Laura
PS: Thanks to Santa-Mom for the incredibly wooly blanket I spent all day curled up in.
