review 1: I downloaded this book to my my phone last year - thinking it was an audio book and I could walk and just listen - but I had a quite a bit of travelling to do this past weekend and I got it read - very easy reading. A predictable story, but nevertheless - totally sweet - how can a houseful of puppies and her Mommy not be sweet with a young man struggling with his own life problems - the Mom and the puppies, not only taught him to love again, but thru them, he met the girl from the animal shelter - and it was a happy ending all on Christmas!!!
review 2: I thought three stars for this book was wildly generous. I adored the first two books I read by Cameron: A Dog's Purpose and A Dog's Journey. In those two books I became vested in the characters; I laughed and cr... moreied and shared in the characters ups and downs. The Dogs if Christmas fell flat. The characters weren't particularly developed nor well rounded. Most of the book I found boring and predictable. The only thing I liked about the book was that it spoke of fostering and shelters and the responsibility of having and taking care of puppies and dogs.If you love dogs, as I do, skip this one and go read A Dog's Purpose instead... You won't regret it. less
