Indie and international star Ricochet has officially reported to the WWE Performance Center, reports WWE.com. Ricochet, real name Trevor Mann, has been turning heads everywhere he’s been since making his debut fourteen years ago, most notably for New Japan Pro Wrestling (as a former Jr. Heavyweight Champion and only the second American to win the Best of the Super Juniors Tournament) and under a hood as Prince Puma for El Rey’s criminally underloved Lucha Underground show where he was the company’s first champion.
I don’t want as much indie wrestling as I should but Ricochet has been one of the standouts whenever I’ve had the chance to check any out, his work in DGUSA (RI to the mf’n P) and EVOLVE especially sticking out to me for his stellar matches. It’s about damn time he got his shot in WWE but I can’t help but be nervous about it as 205 Live is still a thing and I don’t want him to end up on a show that I, along with most of the fan populace, never pay attention to. Odds are he’ll be in NXT first though, which will make that crazy impressive talent pool even larger. Can’t wait to see what he does, all hail King Ricochet.
