The Mount Trilogy concludes with Sinful Empire!
What’s mine, I keep, and that includes Keira Kilgore.
It’s no longer enough to have her in my debt. No longer enough to own her body.
I want something more.
She can try to resist, but I’ll never give her up.
Nothing will keep us apart.
Not her. Not my enemies. No one.
Her debt will only be paid one way—with her heart.
Sinful Empire is the third and final book in the Mount Trilogy.

After the ending of Defiant Queen, I have been clamoring to get my hands on Sinful Empire. I was dying to find out who would possibly dare to make an attempt on Keira and Lachlan’s lives. Meghan March delivered on that answer in a way I did not see coming. I was highly impressed with most of this final book in the Mount Trilogy and will be watching for more books in the Anti-Heroes Collection.
Sinful Empire is the third book in the Mount Trilogy and Anti-Heroes Collection. It can not be read as a stand-alone. The first two books in the series, Ruthless King and Defiant Queen, are essential to the understanding of what is going on in Sinful Empire. In fact, there are so many moving pieces, I would suggest a re-read of the first two books if been a while since you finished the other books, so you have all the details fresh in your mind. Sinful Empire is told in dual first-person perspective, by Keira and Lachlan. There are some flashback scenes from Lachlan’s POV.
While there has been no question of how explosive Keira and Lachlan’s chemistry has been throughout the series, their relationship became something much more profound in this book. Their need and desire for the other’s safety and happiness showed what had developed between them was far beyond anything they could have expected given the way their arrangement started.
Between the complexities of how Lachlan Mount became the man we met in book one, the shocking truth behind how Keira and Lachlan had their first night together, and the bombshell of who was behind the attack at the end of Defiant Queen, this book had me riveted from page one. Sinful Empire was a high-octane thrill ride that paid just as much attention to unraveling all the secrets of the series as it did to developing and solidifying Keira and Lachlan’s relationship. I am highly impressed with how well Ms. March was able to balance the two aspects of this story.
I wish the last few chapters had been as poignant and impactful as the rest of the book – and series – this book would have been nearly perfect. As it was those last few chapters left me wondering what had happened to the person who’d written the rest of Keira and Lachlan’s story. They had a distinctly different tone and tenor to them. Instead of making me feel like I was living with the characters, I felt like I was being fed a bunch of information to ensure I thought the book was tied up in a shiny, pretty bow, with no ambiguity as to what was going to happen in the future.
Ms. March has won me over as a reader with this series. She never sacrificed her characters’ development for a plot point, nor did she allow her plot to falter to keep her characters safe and happy. I love her ability to pull me into the story in the first few sentences, then keep my attention until the last word. Even then, I found myself – for the most part – still wanting more of the fascinating world she built in this series. I am already anticipating getting my hands on the next book (and series) in this world, Savage Prince (Savage Trilogy), due out Spring 2018.
Get ready for the darker and dirtier side of New Orleans with a brand new alpha romance from USA Today bestselling author Meghan March.
New Orleans belongs to me.
You don’t know my name, but I control everything you see—and all the things you don’t.
My reach knows no bounds, and my demands are always met.
I didn’t need to loan money to a failing family distillery, but it amuses me to have them in my debt.
To have her in my debt.
She doesn’t know she caught my attention.
She should’ve been more careful.
I’m going to own her. Consume her. Maybe even keep her.
It’s time to collect what I’m owed.
Keira Kilgore, you’re now the property of Lachlan Mount.

The Mount Trilogy continues with Defiant Queen…
I’m his entertainment. His toy. Payment on a debt.

But I didn’t realize it would be complete anarchy.
I should’ve known better. When Mount’s involved, there are no rules.
I will not surrender. I will not show weakness. I’ll stand my ground and make it out of this bargain with my heart and soul intact.
But he has other plans . . .

Meghan March has been known to wear camo face paint and tromp around in woods wearing mud-covered boots, all while sporting a perfect manicure. She’s also impulsive, easily entertained, and absolutely unapologetic about the fact that she loves to read and write smut. Her past lives include slinging auto parts, selling lingerie, making custom jewelry, and practicing corporate law. Writing books about dirty talking alpha males and the strong, sassy women who bring them to their knees is by far the most fabulous job she’s ever had. She loves hearing from her readers at [email protected].
