Our third Stepsister’s project is well on the way. With permission from the Dunedin City Council and the poet’s literary estate we’ve been painting Jean Lonie’s poem, Dunedin Summer, along a step on the Esplanade. We’ve loved chatting with the regular walkers, and enjoyed the variety of dogs passing by. Weather permitting we’ll have it finished within the next week. We’ve witnessed some amazing sunrises and sunsets while we’ve been at work. Well to be honest Sheryl, the artist, is at work and I just run around ensuring the right paint is at hand and read to Sheryl as she paints. So far we’ve enjoyed Winnie the Pooh, Paddington, Charlotte’s Web, Roald Dahl and right now we’re loving Kate de Goldi’s The 10pm question.
