Books I Didn’t Get to In 2017

This week’s topic is one that I technically already sort of covered in my 2018 TBR post about a week ago. But, since there were a lot of books I didn’t get to in 2017, I figured I would add a new set here for this Top 5 Wednesday. So, let’s get to it!

**These are in no particular order**

Geekerella by Ashley Poston

This book was all over the place back in 2017, with everyone absolutely loving it. I know that it’s yet another Cinderella story, but no matter how many times that tale gets retold, I think that I’ll always love it. Also, I’m in need of a cute contemporary YA romance. I told myself I was going to try to read it in 2017 and never got the chance to do. Now, this book is the next one on my TBR

Rebel Spring by Morgan Rhodes

I read book one in this series, Falling Kingdoms, a few years ago. Way before everyone and their mother was talking about this series. Then, for mysterious reasons, that i myself don’t even know, I stopped reading them. Now, I want to try and get back to it. I wanted to read this last year but obviously didn’t get to them. I hope this year is the year! Maybe.

The Girl Who Played with Fire by Stieg Larsson

I read book one, The Girl With the Dragon Tatto in 2017 and really liked it. It was dark and gritty and all kinds of messed up. It was also a really good book. I wanted to read the sequel last year as well but honestly, I think it’s for the best that I didn’t. I needed a break from all the things that happen in this series. Now that I’ve read some cute and fluffy books to ease my mind, I hope to get back to this series.

Wonder Woman: Warbringer by Leigh Bardugo

This book is one that unites two of my favorite things: superheroes and Leigh Bardugo’s writing. How could I not have read this 2017? No matter, I am obviously going to be reading this in 2018, along with all the other DC Icons books that are going to be released throughout the year. I have read some mixed reviews on the Batman book (a real shame since I love Batman), but everyone seems to love this one so I’m super excited for it.

Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell

This one is awkward because my very profile picture is of me holding up this book over my face and yet, I’ve never actually read it. So, I think this means that I should seriously get to it sometime soon. Either that, or get a new profile picture, but since I probably won’t do that, I think I’ll just read the book. Besides, it’s been on my shelf collecting dust for years now. I think the time has come to read it.
