review 1: This book was okay. I enjoyed the beginning and even though it’s a book you can read in a few hours it took me a few days. Not that I didn’t like it, it just wasn’t that interesting. This young woman Natalie lives a perfect seven years with her husband until he dies because a car hits him. We see Natalie’s world turn upside down, we see her crying on the street corner where her husband was hit, but the scene isn’t as affecting as it could be. As a reader you’re supposed to feel the character's emotions but this book doesn’t give you that feeling. The writer describes Natalie as a smart, hard-working, nice, delicate and very beautiful young lady. However the whole time it seems like she’s just another pretty face. All the men are in love with her only for he... morer looks. Even though she’s the main character I don’t believe she deserves to be praised like that.Anyway I like that she falls in love with someone who is way out of her league. I guess I can describe the whole book in one word: delicate.
review 2: I was really surprised by this book - I did what I shouldn't and judged it by its cover. I expected chic-lit and it is not that. This book really delivers a wonderful story - and it is all story. There are no wasted words describing superfluous details. It is a very direct book that just simply tells the story of love and loss. The characters are wonderful and I found it very hard to put down, and it really cuts straight through to raw emotions of grief, love, jealousy.A wonderful book - so glad I read it. less
