Psalm 95:1 says, “Oh come, let us sing to the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation!”
It’s no secret that I like statements of truth which are clear, practical, and to-the-point.
I came across one of these recently by author and speaker Lysa TerKeurst. Here it is:
“My battle plan. Worry less. Worship more.”
Isn’t that great? And it comes at a great time of year!
I like it because it reminds us that life isn’t a walk in the park—it’s a battle. And if you want to worry less in the midst of that battle, you are well advised to worship more.
One of the reasons that’s important is because worship draws our eyes away from ourselves and our obsessively worrying ways, and back to God, our un-moving, un-intimidated and never-failing Lord—the “rock of our salvation!”
Do you feel like life is getting away from you or getting you down? If so, adopt a battle plan:
Worry less. Worship more.
