The Fall Time Cosy Book Tag!

I love watching book tag videos on YouTube. They’re some of my favourite videos to watch when I want to hear about new books or listen about books (which I could do all day). Since Autumn is the best time of the year, I decided to do the Fall Time Cosy book Tag when I have the chance.

1) Crunching Leaves: The world is full of color – choose a book that had reds/oranges/yellows on the cover

For this one, I could only find one book on my shelf that had the orange, yellow and red combo and that would have to be City of Heavenly Fire, By Cassandra Clare. I still need to finish this series!

2) Cozy Sweater – It’s finally cold enough to don warm cozy clothing: what book gives you the warm fuzzies?

Clockwork Angel! Yes, another Cassandra Clare novel but this book gives me all the feeeeelssss! Will Herondale will always be my fictional crush! The love story plot in the book gave me all the fuzzies!

3) Fall Storm: The wind is howling & the rain is pounding – choose your favourite book OR genre that you like to read on a stormy day

This question is perfect! I love reading when its rainy! And I totally think there’s a genre perfect for a stormy night! Anything mysterious and dark, fantasy, folklore, or Gothic would be perfect. I would choose something like The Raven Boys by Maggie Steifvater. It follows a family that has magical power except for Blue our main protagonist who only has the ability to heighten magic. Every year, Blue Sargent stands next to her clairvoyant mother as the soon-to-be dead walk past. Blue herself never sees them—not until this year, when a boy emerges from the dark and speaks directly to her. However, this mysterious boy is on a quest of his own, to find the all-powerful dead man they call Gandalf. It is nothing like I have ever read. It is so GOOD!

4) Cool Crisp Air: What’s the coolest character you’d want to trade places with?

Oooh! Obvious choice would be Tess from the Clockwork books by Cassandra Clare but I think I would trade places with Shahrazad from The Wrath and Dawn trilogy by Renee Ahdieh. Who doesn’t want to be a bad ass Persian Calipha of Khorasan. Oh yeah and there’s also the gorgeous Khalid the young king too.

5) Hot Apple Cider: What under hyped book do you want to see become the next biggest, hottest thing?

The Forbidden Wish by Jessica Khoury comes to mind. A lot of people have liked this book and she does has other books on the way so she’s doing well, but I have definitely not seen this book circulating as much as other books. I would never have heard of this If I didn’t search for the specific genre. I’m currently reading it and it’s amazing. The book is an Aladdin re-telling, vividly written, original and super entertaining. It begins with Aladdin finding a lamp, unleashing a beautiful jinni Zahra. Zahra’s existence is illegal and soon her goal is freedom but is it worth losing a chance at love?

6) Coat, Scarves, and Mittens – The weather has turned cold & it’s time to cover up – What’s the most embarrassing book cover you own that you like to keep hidden in public?

None! I love all my books and I’m a sucker for pretty book covers. I would probably pick a book I had to read for school, like The Monk, By Mathew Lewis. I have the ugliest cover of this book, so that one!

7) Pumpkin Spice: What’s your favorite Fall time comforts food/foods?

Pizza! Tea and cookies, hot chocolate. Anything warm and cheesy basically.

8) Warm, Cozy Bonfire: Spread the cozy warmth – Who do you tag?

I tag anyone who read this and wants to do this tag and I would love to read your answers.
