This review won’t be very long, because the book isn’t that long either and it’s pretty much the same as the first book in the series (The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole, Aged 13 3/4). The only thing that’s different is that Adrian’s older and more exciting things happen.
I just love reading books in diary format, so this book series is just perfect. It’s so hilarious and fast-paced! You really get to know Adrian Mole and his problems as an intellectual, teenaged poet. In my review on the first book I said that, in my opinion, Adrian Mole was a bit of an unrealistic teenager. My opinion hasn’t changed, but luckily, that doesn’t make the book any less enjoyable! It really feels like I’m part of Adrian’s group of friends and I just want to continue reading his diaries (although that sounds so very wrong …). Unfortunately, I only own the two first books and I’m currently on a book buying ban until I’ve read a good part of the books on my TBR. I do hope I won’t be out of the Adrian-flow when I’m able to continue this series!
