Day 3
The ruins at Beit She’an
We toured the incredible ruins of Beit She’an. This ancient city was destroyed by an earthquake and is one the best restored ancient sites I have seen. We climbed up to the top of the tell and we were able to look out at Mount Gilboa.
On our way to climb up the ancient tell
The sun was setting as we floated. The colors were incredible.
Floated in the Dead Sea and then settled in a Kibbutz turned hotel into an oasis.
The oasis near our Kibbutz hotel.
Day 4
I think this was my favorite day of the trip ( jk, everyday was my favorite)
(Anna, Madisson, me and Jenna) at Ein Gedi.
First stop was a short hike into the Ein Gedi Reserve. This was one of my favorite stops of the trip. To know that this location had to be the “place” of David encountering Saul and spearing his life was overwhelming. The beauty of the water fall and lush greenery was awe-inspiring.
Be Exalted, O God, Above the heavens! Let your glory be over all the earth! Psalm 57:11
About a third of the way up!
Climbing Masada was also a highlight.
So awesome!
Also, very high!
View from the fortress on top!
Oh, looks it’s me on a camel!
Jenna and I, laughing about something as usual!
Cliff Graham. Our fearless leader.
The valley of Elah where David fought Goliath.
Who is this philistine, that he should defy the armies of the LIVING GOD? 1 Samuel 17:26
The greatest takeaway from here was that God is worthy to be worshipped. Period. Full stop. I have goosebumps just thinking about this day again.
My Favorites!
Of course, I am probably forgetting a million different things to tell you about! But, I don’t want to spoil all the surprises for when you go! And you need to GO! Seriously, my faith was so encouraged and built up by this group and trip, that I would encourage everybody to go with Good Battles Tours.
