Munshi Premchand “मंत्र”
Munshi Premchand was one of those writers, whom we can say, still rule the time. If someone goes through Munshi Premchand’s stories, he can’t stop himself imagining that period of time. One of his stories which motivated me all the time is “मंत्र”. The story of Dr Chaddha, old Bhagat and Kailash. The story starts with the mistreatment of Dr Chaddha to the old Bhagat who denied to check his son, who was ill due to a disease and later on died. In the second part when Kailash who was the son of Dr Chaddha got bitten by his pet snake and was on the way to death and at last old Bhagat even after the mistreatment saved Kailash. We got to learn from this story that “if someone does bad to you, you should always think good for him”. But do we see this kind of relationship in this century! Fake modernism has taken place in our consciousness and we have opted the field of a term called “Revenge”. One should read the stories of Munshi Premchand to understand the meaning of love and affection. In today’s world, the equation is just opposite, people use to do bad to the people who help them. In my observation “ Greater is the one who forgives every one”.
