review 1: This book does a neat job of bringing together two parallel storylines - one past, one present. I enjoyed the way details were given and occasionally glazed over, some of which you noticed, and others you didn't. Some, you noticed but the characters didn't, and you're left going "LOOK! OVER THERE!" to no avail. I second- and third-guessed myself on some of the outcomes, and was left both surprised and pleased to be proven right OR wrong. The characters, both main and supporting, all sport little things that endear themselves to you.

... morel! I enjoyed this book immensely! The characters all sprang to life and though the plot took a few familiar turns, Casey still managed to fit in a few surprises. And the author really displayed her knack of weaving in romance into the plot without it feeling extraneous or forced. She is definitely a mystery author that I will be keeping my eye on! less
