Wow, I can’t believe it’s time for another TBR list, but I guess freezing temps are upon us. I didn’t do so well with my Fall TBR; out of twelve books on the list I read five. Hoping I do way better than that!
The first five books are ARCs that I’m planning to read, so I won’t go into detail on why they are on my TBR list this season.
1 The Girl in the Tower – Katherine Arden
RD: December 5th
2 The Wolves of Winter – Tyrell Johnson
RD: January 2nd
3 The Immortalists – Chloe Benjamin
RD: January 9th
4 The Night Child – Anna Quinn
RD: January 30th
5 An American Marriage – Tayari Jones
RD: February 6th
6 Annihilation – Jeff VanderMeer
I recently saw the trailer for the movie coming out in February and I’m so pumped to read this book now. This seems to be the type of Sci-Fi that I dig. Can’t wait to write about both the movie and book later this winter.
7 The Bone Clocks – David Mitchell
I’m a huge fan of Cloud Atlas, but I was a tad lukewarm about Slade House. I’ve been pushing this book back all year, but I’m finally going to get into it before the year ends.
8 Her Body and Other Parties – Carmen Maria Machado
Most of the recommendations I get are from other book bloggers, so I was hyped that a friend of mine loved this book. This short story collection was already on my radar, but that made me want to read it right away. Just waiting for the library to send the book my way.
9 The Signature of All Things – Elizabeth Gilbert
I was on the fence with Eat, Pray, Love, but I was interested in the subject matter, so I decided to give Gilbert’s fiction a try. Maybe I’ll be more of a fan after it.
10 Sing, Unburied, Sing – Jesmyn Ward
I already had this book on my library holds list, but after Sing, Unburied, Sing won National Book Award for Fiction I’ve gotten antsy to read it. Don’t know if I’ll get it by the end of the year, so maybe it can open up the new one?
