“You need to know this thing between us isn’t over.”

Michelle Slattery is no stranger to human cruelty. She’s a cop, after all, never mind a witch herself. But when her best friend disappears and all signs point to the same mages who have been killing witches across the country, she’s in over her head. There’s only one place to turn for the kind of tracking help she needs…

The werewolves.

Josh Neelan didn’t expect to ever see a witch at Pacific Pack headquarters. She’s no ordinary witch in need, either—Michelle was his first love. The one he left behind when he turned a decade ago. That their attraction flares instantly after all this time can mean only one impossible thing: she’s his mate.

As danger looms and the case intensifies, Josh’s need to follow the fates and claim Michelle as his mate grows…his man battling his wolf to keep them safe. And Michelle must decide just how far she’ll go to find her forever. Take my advice and never read when you’re drained. I read this story twice. I almost gave it a poor review, because I thought it was the story line that made me fall asleep. Turns out that my mind and body was just tired. And Twice Bitten turned out to be a pretty good book.

Twice Bitten is book #7 in the Cascadia Wolves series. It was originally published under the name “Unconditional” in August 2013.
Witches are being taken and killed for their magic. It becomes personal for one cop when Michelle Slattery’s friend is taken, it will be up to her and a man from her past to find her before it’s too late.

Twice Bitten is a second chance at love tale. With action and drama found on every each page. Twice Bitten isn’t one of those titles you can pick up and just follow the storyline. You must read each book in the series to following the plot.

The story goes like this: While on pregnancy bed rest, Lauren Dane had plenty of down time so her husband took her comments about “giving that writing thing a serious go” to heart and brought home a secondhand laptop. She wrote her first book on it before it gave up the ghost. Even better, she sold that book and never looked back.

Today Lauren is a New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of over sixty novels and novellas across several genres.
