review 1: Ok... life makes more sense when all the true dirt bags fully reveal themselves - which I had called it. Pietr although struggling still but for the most part is getting over himself... thank goodness... I heard for 2 books about how he wants to be normal and now? And mom... she is alive... what is the reason for her imprisonment? I feel they should sneak her the cure and then she can be done with it. I got to say in the first book, I thought Max for the most part was an ass, but I will say that over the last 2 books Max has become near and dear to me. My heart like Jessica would belong to Pietr but I would be Max' bff. I also love the family dynamic. The parents are gone, oldest struggles to keep reins on younger kids who are old enough but not finished growing up to be... more on their own. Brothers whose personalities cause friction but at the same time maintain the attitude: Hey I can pummel my sibling all I want but if you touch them - you will have a problem with me as well, which for my experience resonates with me. The cliff hanger at the end - say what - I felt as blind sided as the characters.
review 2: So I loved the story but pietr pissed me off at moments but I can get over that knowing what is going on in the storyline. I know he loves Jess and is only staying with Sarah to be the good guy that he is but I can imagine how that would make me feel as a teenage girl. You have enough problems feeling inadequate and then the guy you love is all over this girl you feel is better than you? But all is well in the end. less
