What would you go for now ?

The question that has been into the medical field of comman indian people is the use of generic medicines. It has been a issue of urge and plead to the government to initiate and promote the use of generic based medicines in hospitals. They seem to be more affordable and less expensive than the current branded craze of medical drugs.

We seem to fall for generic on the tag of less expensive.  But it is far better to resolve this hustle by the means of proper analysis.Get into the following analysis and decide on your own.

Medicinal structure of Indian market :

Two kinds of medicines have currently occupied the Indian market.

Patented or branded medicines

  • Non – patented or generic medicines

Patented medicines:

When a drug is formed on the basis of its needs , combating ability and a specific action it needs to be patented before its mass production. That means if a drug is formed to provide relief from a particular antibody or a new disease it needs to be authorised before it floods the market.

This procedure of getting a particular drug patented requires time and money. After a drug it patented or authorized, it gets ready for its use.

Any drug with similar chemical structure and formula will not get patented thereafter. And hence will not get the stand of authorized or properly leagal.

The patented medicines are kept at high rates , so as to get the value of the expenditures. They ensure to keep up the quality of the medicines by regularly checking their chemical compositions and effectiveness.

Non-patented ( generic ) medicines :

The medicines with the copied chemical composition or slightly varying formula are kept under this category. These types of medicines are not patented hence unauthorized by the medical department .

Their reactivity, combating ability and efficiency stands a mystery. If formed with due care and precision they work with the same ability and capability as the patented one.

The rates of generic medicines are far much lower than the patented one. Thus they stand much affordable against the high rated ,branded , patented medicines.

The doctors do not prefer generic based medicined on two basic grounds:

  • The effectiveness of generic medicines is unknown. They canprove beneficial or fatal on the pretext of its reactivity.
  • The patented medicines have a ability to direct the chain of commision to the pockets of the dealer, chemists , practitoners and doctors.

After reading the above sumup you might have experienced a dilemma in making the choice. It is.

Brand and high cost wins the battle over afforable and suspectable generic medicines. We find it better to pay the comission chain than to play with the lives of our dear ones.

There stand a two way to the policies regarding the medicinal structure in India.

  • To ensure the quality and effectiveness of the generic based medicine
  • To properly channalise the means of rate setting, patenting and the commision legacy of the medical field.

Hope you have enough of now to support the right or if needed, fight for the right in the right manner.
