review 1: Another enjoyable read by Ms. Jio. The story revolves around an old estate, Livingston Manor, and a variety of camellia flower that is the last of its kind in England. As a dual-narrative, I really liked Flora, the main character/narrator from the past. She's sweet and means well. I didn't know how the two perspectives/story lines were going to tie together, nor did I expect a story surrounding a camellia flower to be so mysterious, and that kept me on the edge of my seat.
review 2: I enjoyed this book, especially the story of the children, but the main mystery was not well connected with whole, such that the suspense came more from the beastly, but really rather ineffective, and somewhat pointless present day Sean, than from the truly horrible events taking pl

This is the worst book of Sarah Jio. She could write better than this. My fav is 'Bungalow'. :)

This book was pretty formulaic and read like a Cliff's Notes of itself, stripped of spark.
