review 1: I absolutely adore Rebecca Zanetti's books! They are so well written. And the paranormal aspect is clever, and not like all the other "vampire" books. I loved Jase and Brenna in the other books in the series, and I am so glad they got the chance to tell their story. There is darkness in both of them, even if it is a different kind. They both believe they are broken and that their family is more important than they are. It is as if they think they were only born to make sacrifices of themselves so their loved ones could succeed. Thankfully, their family (well the important ones at least) don't think that, and they have the oppurtunity to prove their worth. Even though I thought they were totally worthy to begin with. Shadowed is a beautiful story of survival, determination,... more and a love that can't be denied. It is a must read! Can't wait till December for Janie's story!
review 2: I enjoyed this edition to the series immensely. Seeing Jayce deal with the after math of his captivity and claim his position in his family was something, as a reader, I look forward to for awhile. His character is a very strong, textured, and over powering and makes the smile on my face gleam just thinking of all the scenes he expresses those uber dominant genes. Brenna is excellent mate for Jayce because she really sees all sides of this soulful and damaged vampire. Watching the 2 survive the plots against their families while seeing them sew threads of a relationship together was seamless in its execution from a reader's perspective. I cannot wait to see what will be next in this exciting series. less
