review 1: If I could give zero stars, I would. There was very little funny about this. Just a lot of toilet humour. Actual toilet humour - every scene seemed to feature someone urinating or defecating. And a dose of homophobia in changing the 'Capture the Flag' scene to a 'Capture the Fag' scene. And changing character names to vulgar names that sounds like something Bart Sompson would call Moes to ask for. Very poor parody. review 2: I read this because, while I TOTALLY LOVE Divergent, I have a tendency to make fun of things I like. Parodies are definitely a thing I enjoy because even in the best of books there are plot problems, hilarious, overdone tropes, and just in general things that altered are funny. Three stars because there were some very funny things, som... moree things I loved, and even some things, admittedly, that weren't well explained in the first book of Divergent, I feel it still could have been better written. There were, in my opinion, better ways of "mocking"/illustrating/paroding particular scenes. Some scenes line up perfectly in an inverse parallel, but some didn't feel as if the source material had been very well researched.Overall, if you're into laughing at good books for their few flaws + some immature humor this book would be right up your alley. For me, it was a nice break in the ordinary but definitely not life-changing. less
