review 1: Things weren't what they seemed. Becca didn't realize that Zac had been watching her since he left her. Zac was such an alpha it was awesome! Becca tried to do the best she could for their son. Parker was a great kid with a six sense that was awesome. He seemed so mature at times for only being six. Watching Zac help Becca work through all of the stuff she was dealing with when Zac came back. It was a really good book!
review 2: This book was listed under Military Suspense. Ok, I get the military part from Zac. Fine. But I feel that the whole spanking thing completely overtook the suspense part. I'm down for a little kink, but when a so called suspense book is all about it, it ruins the story line. The spanking parts were basically all about that. Anything that... more happened between them was summed up so quickly, you couldn't even enjoy anything sexy about it. I would have liked to see the plot developed a little stronger. There was basically no work involved in taking down the bad guy and everything just fell into place. Oh, and not to mention the slight, paranormal factor of "ghosting" and "mind reading"? Where did that come from? I felt gipped. I was expecting a heart pounding suspense with some heat. Yea, there's a little heat, but the rest didn't do it at all. I definitely think it could have used some more thought or development. About the only character I really enjoyed, was Parker. He seemed like an adorable kid. less
