In Darkness We Must Abide
review 1: This is the first serial I've tried. I like the story much, but just as things were getting going, it ended. I guess that's the purpose. Story is off to a great start. I would like to read the remaining, but all at once so I'm going to search and see if I can find it completed. I've heard a bit about this author and its my first read by her. If things continue in the direction they are going, there are many possibilities, I felt it was a strong start.
review 2: Rhiannon creates amazing characters -- lovable and flawed all at the same time. They are not words on the page, but flesh and blood. I wouldn't bat an eye if I saw Vanora walking around Houston with her parasol. The series blends current times with a good gothic feel, which is so essential to an awesome
... morevampire tale. Horror and humor mix well, and the thing I love most -- you can never tell where the story will go or who will do what next -- is in full force. Kudos to Frater for honing her craft and creating such an enjoyable serial. less
