review 1: I wasn't going to read another one of these, but I couldn't help myself. At least I didn't actually read all of it. I just skimmed it.This one has a pretty decent mystery, lots of nasty characters and action, and actually feels more like the type of potboiler thriller that Richard Castle would turn out. But I still say that Richard Castle would never write himself so obviously into his own book.I still can't bring myself to give it more than 3 stars. If you're not a Castle fan you won't get it. If you are a Castle fan, you'll either love it because it's just like an extended Castle episode (with the names changed) or you'll be as on the fence as I am.

These are a spinoff of the TV show Castle.In this one Nikki and Rook are trying to solve the crime of how a body fell from the sky. Based in NYC during the days when Hurricane Sandy was approaching the primary subject of their attention is one of the officials in charge of the disaster preparedness team.I don't know who writes these books but they are always enjoyable. ✿✿✿✿ less
