review 1: I just finished this book and WOW! I loved the story. I am so excited for the next installment in this series. Usually I will take about a month or so to read a 400 page book. I like to let it drag out so I can continue the story and not let it end. I didn't have a choice with this book. It sucked me in so fast and deep I finished it in three days. It flows very well and the idea of what this book is about is so unique and original I couldn't fathom where the story was taking me so I couldn't figure it out in my head beforehand and then say "yep, I figured it would end like that". Great read, I bought it on iBooks. Great price. Check it out.
review 2: My kind of book! Fantasy, Faith, Fear, & Fabulous! MORE...more...MORE...that's what I kept thinking! =) A story... more that is full of wonder, magic, & has the ability to creep you out all at the same time. LOVE IT! Very different from what I've been reading the last few weeks. The beginning had my full attention with the mages & the evil lurking. I enjoyed learning the ways of Orenda & feeling all of the emotions portrayed. While the twist took me a few moments to wrap my head around it definitely made me want to figure it all out even more. Edmund's journey took us through space & time revealing some answers while opening up more questions along the way. Chiantaretto has a unique writing style that I look forward to seeing more of! The more I read the more I wanted, & the end ensured that I will be reading book 2 as soon as it's available! less
