review 1: I almost left 3 stars as if it didn't deserve 4 and then I thought about ** CLICHE ALERT ** "how hard it was to put it down" :) and I realized that I really enjoy Geary's Comics/Histories of murder mysteries, and it is not always the stories which are so compelling but often the whole crux of the matter is in HOW the story is told, and in that, Geary is excellent. I enjoy his well-paced, concise and intriguing story-telling.
