I don’t know what I was expecting with the beginning of this series. I mean, I enjoyed it to an extent – but the twist at the end made me feel like my intestines had been pulled out and wrung dry.
I’ve been told to keep reading as it gets better. (Does it?!)
Characters wise I enjoyed Jace, Isabella A LOT. I felt the characters to already be well developed where as Clary and Simon – god they really annoyed me. Especially Clary who just seemed to say the wrong thing to really get my goat.
I enjoyed the world building, and I know it’s only the first one so I will keep going with it – however my expectations have now been lowered.
