review 1: I like this author and his characters and was excited to see them return in this new book. It's the only reason I kept going with it. The plot was so twisted and complex and repetitive that I gave up on it and skipped ahead just to get through. I still don't know if one of the main characters is good or evil and I'm not sure how they wound up saving the world. Seemed to me that they didn't. Perhaps skipping large portions had something to do with that. Oh well. I'll still try the next one.
review 2: I understand that this book is part of a series in which undercover agents John Knox and Grace Chu are sent of dangerous missions to exotic locations. This book takes place in Istanbul, Turkey and on the surface seems to be about the sale of a very valuable piece of
... more art work. As the book progresses the focus takes a sharp twist which is very surprising and, of course, the agents lives are in danger all along the way. The twist I will not give away but it involves both Iran and Israel. If you enjoyed Pearson's past books I am sure you will like this one. less

Very choppy prose and difficult to follow plot. Not really sure what happened in the end!!
