review 1: Set in Idaho, this mystery unravels layer by layer as Sheriff Walt Fleming finds his personal life entangled in this insurance scam. Still reeling from his wife's infidelity, Fleming finds it hard to trust again. Plus, his brother's death has estranged Fleming and his father. Add in a runaway teen and professional thieves with decoy action, and the plot literally runs with twists and turns throughout.
review 2: My first Ridley Pearson book and I definitely want to read more after this one! It’s a terrifically fast pace set in gorgeous Sun Valley, Idaho – playground to the rich even smack-dab in the middle of the recession. Sheriff Walt Fleming is a sympathetic character who also doesn’t take much crap from anybody. The potential theft of a rare and va... moreluable wine collection at auction quickly turns into a different and much larger heist, leaving Fleming and his department scrambling to keep up with a criminal who has seemingly thought of everything. The involvement of Walt’s nephew and a movie producer’s daughter complicates matters even further. A quick and exciting read – you will finish this one quickly, believe me! less
