review 1: I don't read ghost stories just because I can't sleep then at night, I get scared really easily. But back to the book the way the book was written was sometimes confusing to follow mostly because I forgot that I was reading from Okiku's perspective. She doesn't talk with the other characters so I forget that she is still interacting with them. But the way the story was written makes it interesting.
review 2: Three and a half stars. I really enjoyed the beginning of the book. It was delightfully creepy and made me want to read more. For some reason I can't quite pinpoint, it kind of lost steam a bit by the end. Perhaps it just seems unlikely that in a world with all of these obvious paranormal occurrences, most of the public are still in the dark. I'm not sure
... more, but whatever it was I wasn't as enchanted by the end. But, I still liked the book and would recommend it - especially for a fall read. less

Creepy as hell, but also very interesting. Don't read it alone if you're a wimp like I am.

I didn't like this one much. No one grabbed me as a likable character.
