review 1: City boy meets Ranch (and all 3 of the smexy Todd brothers)Jayden moves to the ranch with his sister and her 2 kiddos hoping to make a better life for them all. Nate the oldest Todd brother knows that they need to bring someone in to help get this Ranch back up and running the way he knows it can. Doesn't mean he has to like the city boy they decide to hire on for the next 2 months.Nate is a total PRICK to Jayden when he first arrives at the ranch. (don't get me wrong, I love me an asshole but he pushed it a little to far.) He tried everything he could to push Jayden back/down/away..you name it, Nate did it. I was thrilled when Jay didn't take his shit and shoved right back! Doesn't feel so good when the shoes on the other foot, huh Mr. Cowboy!Jealousy is always a mot... moreivating factor when it comes to finally making a move. Once these two realized that they both wanted each other...all bets where off. :) Great start to the Montana series!! I can't wait to see what we're in for next.
review 2: The beginning of another fabulous series from RJ Scott.Life on a Montana dude ranch is hard work and a little lonely for Nate Todd. He had to grow up quick when he became the guardian of his two younger brothers at 18 when his parents died in a car accident. He never complained, just did what needed to be done to make sure his brothers and the ranch that his parents co-owned and operated survived.Jay may be the younger brother but he has always been the one to provide for his sister and her children. Then the day comes when he is fired and has to move his family from New York to Montana and take the biggest risk of his life.Once again the author has created a series that has the feel of something bigger. She is wonderful at blending the story of the MC's with equally strong secondary story lines that give her stories their fast pace.I will admit it took me a while to connect to Nate and Jay, but once I was into the story I didn't want it to end. In fact I kept expecting there to be more pages because there was so much left untold. So well played Ms. Scott, I am hooked....well played indeed. You just know there is more to Marcus and the disappearance of his youngest son and the Strachen boy. And for that matter the whole Strachen family. Crotchety old Henry has a story to tell. And that asshole Lewis will be back. So, as you can see there is a lot more to be told about Crooked Tree and the people that live there and I do not want to miss the drama! less
