review 1: Yes the book is written by R.L. Stine which is what drew me to the book in the first place growing up reading goosebumps. unfortunately it doesn't live up to the thrill of his series. the title says it all... it a twist on a Shakespeare play and that's exactly what you get Shakespeare with a little blood and severed limbs. so if you're looking for another Shakespeare love and tragedy then this is your kind of book. however if you're looking to get the craps scared out of you then this is not the book for you
review 2: As her seventeenth birthday approaches, Claire is thrilled to be a part of her father's revamped production of a horror film. But the horror film has a frightening history since three of its actors actually died during its filming. Amid various r
... moreomantic entanglements, Claire and her friend Delia vacillate between wanting the show to go on and being frightened to death. After Claire meets a strange man named Benny Puckerman, the bodies start to pile up. Fans of R. L. Stine will enjoy this foray in the world of William Shakespeare. Some of the character development is a bit sketchy, but readers will still enjoy this horror-filled romp that contains some really gruesome death scenes. While some things are never fully explained, those omissions simply add to the book's eeriness. The horror is leavened with some humor too and a few red herrings as well. less

Wasn't one R.L Stine's best books, but I still enjoyed it, and I still recommend it.
