review 1: Funny, Badass, Mysterious and Entertaining.That pretty much summarizes The Scene for me.Dylan Hart is a journalist looking to make it in the literary world by writing a novel based on the recent crimes in her neighborhood. What started on as a research for her book, turned out to be so much more.Hop on and take a ride with Dylan as she unravels the mystery.The only negative I would say is it is a tad too descriptive.Overall an enjoyable read.PS: Not for ones who do not like foul language.Just saying... :P
review 2: “Let’s face it, naked dead bitches are turning up missing blood, there’s no way this’ll end pretty”Dylan is funny, snarky, and sarcastic. She is trying to write her first book about the recent killings going on in California where the women... more are all drained of their blood. She had a crazy banter with everyone she meets. Following lead after lead like she’s a real detectitve she keeps coming up with a theory “vampires”. Are there really such things as vampires or just some douche tards trying to act as vampires?“He looked like he just stepped out of a really bad B-movie. The super floofy-fluffy, for lack of a better word, blouse, was tucked into a pair of skin-tight pleather pants. And to top off the ensemble, he donned a scarlet cummerbund”Tatum is also funny and sarcastic as hell and able to punch a dick out if needed. She is a journalist also but a journalist of the stars. She is Dylan’s best friend of 20 years and her trusty side kick, but she fits Mo of the people that are being killed. Will she get too close to the case and find herself in danger? “Yeah. Well actually, it will be about the recent vampire-like homicides. I came in here hoping of finding some more information about the vampire culture. But all I go was a retard in a cape”This book is murder, mystery, suspense, and laughter all into one book. Will Dylan find out who the killer is? Is it someone she has already met? Or will it be too late for her by the time her and her old flame detective Mike find out who the killer is.“You will answer my questions. If you don’t, I’ll rain hell fire down upon you in a fashion not seen since Sodom”The book is suspenseful and makes you want to turn the page faster and faster just to figure out what the fuck is going on, all the while laughing your ass off. So if you are into who done it and “vampires” this is the book for you. I hope whoever reads this book enjoys it as much as I did.-Jess less
