review 1: I have read several of the Elvis Cole novels and am just getting into the Joe Pike ones (Joe is in a secondary role in the Cole books). I am really beginning to appreciate Pike's taciturn and tough manner as well as his belief in justice. Also, he isn't one to let rules get in the way of what needs to be done. This book had plenty of mystery and action to it. Elvis Cole had a secondary role in this book.
review 2: A Serbian home invasion crew kills one of Pike's guys and his family because they were just there when the crew comes to steal a child the family's nanny is protecting. Good book on cd for a road trip. And a bonus...it's narrated by the author, Robert Crais himself!
