review 1: Five stars as always... impeccable series.Carl isn't dead. I'm both relieved and in a state of disbelief. He was shot in the face for crying out loud. Part of his head was missing. I'm pissed at Abraham for shitting on Rosita, not that we know a lot about Rosita, but it was cruel of him to not just cheat on her, but to actually say the words "I always wondered what if you're not the last woman on earth... and well, you're not." What a jackass! I liked him a lot until he said that. Cheating is one thing, saying that is enough to destroy a persons confidence completely... well if there is any left after the cheating that is.I don't think Rosita will become a bigger character though, so I wont have time to feel sorry for her for long. This novel ended with the moment I've been... more waiting and hoping for. Andrea kissed Rick. I wanted Andrea and Rick together before Lori had even died. She's just a really cool woman.
review 2: The sense of optimism in the last volume really carried over to this one. First we have Rick on a positive campaign, rallying people and giving them jobs. And then Carl wakes up and albeit he can't remember certain critical events he is awake and alive. I am really glad that his memory was selective and he didn't completely forget everything because that would have been really annoying having to explain this whole new world to him again, which I was worried Kirkman was going to do. Although it would have been nice to get Carl's innocence back just a little bit. This volume felt a bit lacking in terms of action, it definitely focused more on the relationships of all the survivors, which I actually enjoy reading about, even the little drama, like between Abraham and Rosita. In the end I felt like Rick was realizing that just killing everyone doesn't solve all your problems. Sure, in some cases like the governor he just needed to be killed but I think keeping Nicholas alive will be a great decision. And the ending!! Andrea!! Yes!! Is it bad that I was sort of hoping they would hook up? It just makes sense to me. I was also thinking Rick and Michonne might also get together but that makes less sense...as much as a deeply love Michonne, I hate to say it but I feel like she is much stronger than Rick and basically she needs to be alone. She seems to think of a lot of people as a burden after a while and I don't want that to happen between her and Rick. They have a good thing going. less

Decent volume, although I feel like the entire plot was used in a previous installment.

Not a particularly eventful volume, but a nice calm before the storm.

A bit lame after all the action in Volume 14.
