review 1: Initially, I felt underwhelmed with this one. Like Andrea said in the comic, I wanted closure. After seeing Negan's erratic behaviour and vile actions, the audience howls for his blood. However, my feelings began to change as the episode culminated. Rick's humanity and overall human decency stirred me, and at the same time, he delivers a torturous judgement. There are fates worse than death. However, Negan is so sociopathic that I don't think this is as much a punishment as 'pissing him the fuck off'. Also, I think letting him live is much more consequential than killing him off. Although Rick wants to let him live, just about everyone else wants him dead, and I'm sure not everyone will respect Rick's verdict, and if Negan somehow escapes, then the camp will have a loose c... moreannon on their hands. I guess we'll have to wait and see.
review 2: This war was pretty good but it kind of disappointed me. Around 7 months I was routing for Negan to die... and he doesn't die. I was thinking some main characters would die... I was wrong. Just a bunch of minor characters and a tiger. The only major loss was the destruction of The Alexandria Safe Zone. But aside from that some important revelations were made and secrets were told and lies became truths. I am really excited to see what The Walking Dead has to offer next. Nothing is going to be the same again. less
