review 1: This is one of the specials that gives you more of a background on a character from the series, in this special it is about none other than Michonne. It also features Mike and Terry.This short graphic novel is about how Michonne gets her katana and how she loses her boyfriend to the dead. It also is about who the walkers are that she chains up to disguise herself. This is a great short graphic novel. I was hooked immediately as Michonne is one of my all time favourite characters! Just by reading this gave me a much bigger insight on her character. I found it cool how we got to know who Terry and Mike are. Terry being Mike's best friend and Mike being the boyfriend. Overall I really enjoyed it and it was fast pacing the whole way through!
review 2: This "special... more" briefly explains how the two zombies came to be with Michonne, but the majority of the comic is, basically, TWD #19 minus a couple scenes. This is very disappointing. What's the point it calling it a "Michonne special" if you dedicate merely 6 out of 25 pages on her backstory? If you really want to know how Michonne's zombies came about, then by all means buy this issue. Or you could have a friend who's already read this relate the story and save yourself a couple bucks. less
