review 1: It was a bit predictable, and, not unlike most spy novels, required some suspension of reality. I guess that's the thing with these types of books. It is in a way like pop music. It is all based on the same general premise, but the trick is making something unique enough to stand out. I didn't feel like this book stood out, but I didn't feel like I wasted my time by reading it. I enjoyed the vivid descriptions of the setting. I really felt like I was there. It is clear Mr. Garrison has a passion for boating. I will definitely check out the next story in the series when it comes out.
review 2: I recently won this book in a Goodreads giveaway. Paul Garrison takes the reins from Robert Ludlum in this tale of piracy and corporate intrigue. The hero Hanson i... mores an ex government agent who works as an independent contractor solving problems and using the funds to help injured agents. The action is steady and somewhat predictable but it is an easy story to escape into. The Janson Option was a good read. less
