review 1: I love this kind of book, a book that keeps you entertained without too much stress.It does have something of the "Jack Reacher" or "Jason Bourne" about it and if you're looking for a book that builds connections with character you're likely to be disappointing. I think I bought this for a train journey from WHS and it did the job fantastically!I haven't read the first book in the series and to be honest, I didn't realise there was one till now.. You certainly don't need to have read the first to understand the second. It is equally entertaining as a standalone.
review 2: Maybe if it hadn't taken me 10 days to read this book, I could've kept a hold of the plot and all the characters better but, honestly, I was confused for a lot of it. It also took me a while t... moreo get into the story. Once they started to get into the more straight-forward adventure and cross-country adventure, I fell into the book but then I lost it again, by the end. It was twisty and some sentences kept catching me off guard, because I was looking for commas and punctuation that just weren't there. It was an interesting experience but not one that I'm sure I'll be repeating. less
